1. CHRYSLER MUSEUM

The museum was the Norfolk Museum of Arts and Sciences, but it was after a Chrysler Corporation heir donated his art collection in 1971. The Chrysler Museum grew to become one of the largest art museums in the southeast United States. The museum, which is on a lovely body of water called The Hague, displays 30,000 pieces ranging from ancient to contemporary art.

2. NAVAL HISTORY

Nauticus is a waterfront scientific facility and maritime museum complex that opened in 1994. It has the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, one of the largest battleships ever built, the USS Wisconsin, a sailing centre, an aquarium, several interactive theatres, hands-on exhibitions, and instructional programmes, as well as the USS Wisconsin.

3. HARRISON OPERA HOUSE

Built to accommodate USO events during WWII, the Harrison Opera House was honor of the Virginia Opera’s founding president, Edythe Harrison, before reopening in 1993.
